What Products Will My Insurance Cover?
Most insurance companies will cover a breast prosthesis and mastectomy bras. Each insurance company has their own unique fee schedule, that will dictate the dollar amount that may be used per bra, and prosthesis. There is also a quantity limitation with each company unique to their specifications set in the policies. Pink Ribbon Boutique insurance specialist will gather your insurance information prior to your appointment and will discuss your coverage with you at the time of service. A prescription is required to bill any products to your insurance company.
Some insurance companies cover wigs and compression garments. For these products, there are also limitations to dollar amount and quantities allowed. Coverage is also dependent on getting the correct diagnosis code on your prescription.
